German Cockroaches

This roach has a size ranging from ½" ⅝" in length. Color ranges from tan to light brown with two parallel stripes going down their back. They prefer warm humid areas such as bathrooms and kitchens. These roaches are common in commercial kitchens. Their droppings look like pepper and are usually found in drawers, cabinets, and counter-tops, they leave a musty odor.

American Cockroach

This roach has a figure eight with a yellow tint on the back of their head and are brown to reddish brown in color. Their length ranges from 1 ½" to 2 ⅛". American Roaches have wings that they use to fly short distances. These roaches may live up to a week without their head. These droppings have been mistaken for mouse dropping but don't be fooled these droppings are blunt with ridges on the side. These roaches ( sometimes referred to as water bug) are black to deep reddish brown and are about 1" in length. The males have wings shorter than the body exposing abdominal segments. The females have no wings. The egg sacs can hold around 16 eggs. These pests prefer dark and damp undisturbed areas.

Brownbanded Cockroach

Brown with two light tan bands across their bodies. These roaches are about ½" in length.These pests like cabinets in bathrooms and kitchens and like to hide their egg sacs in or under furniture. They prefer warm dry areas.
